GASTRIC RECTIFIER – Noise Modulation
The brilliant minds over at Pladask Elektrisk in Norway have really been hammering the earth with some amazing & experimental effect designs.
A while back I built their Experimental Workshop Delay, which turned out to be a very necessary weapon for the violin/cello section of Black Lake Ensemble.
So, I recently dug up plans for a @pladaskelektrisk noise machine based on the genius of Tim Escobedo’s Thing Modulator. I built it, plugged it in for a test run, and sat in front of the amp – in worship of my fellow Norwegian builders.
Then…I flipped the feedback switch on, hit some random strings, set the guitar down & spent the next 30 minutes cleaning up the workbench surrounded by giant waves of thick, swirling, dissonant noise…with a giant grin on my stupid dumb face.
