The HELL BABY

Since I started messing around with building these things, I’ve had a great relationship with all things Shin-Ei.

Based around the Shin-Ei FY-2, this build is exactly something I’ve been looking for in a fuzz…for a long time.

I love abrasive, caustic noise, and my attempt here was to create a nice sounding fuzz that I could manipulate into a filthy sounding mess…but still be able to have some control over the chaos.

It’s a fairly standard FY-2, but with a momentary feedback/oscillation switch and an added boost circuit. As well, there is a control for the amount of oscillation, AND a voltage sag control that regulates the voltage going into the entire circuit.

I’m a terrible guitar player…but this Hell Baby makes me feel better about playing so horrible.
